Liverpool snatch United’s dream of a ‘slap’ at Old Trafford

West Ham knock Tottenham down in the London derby and reach the ‘Champions’ zone

MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Liverpool has snatched Manchester United’s dream at ‘Old Trafford’ with a historic win (0-5) that knocks down the ‘Red Devils’ and leaves Klopp’s men second to a point behind leaders Chelsea, while the London derby West Ham took it against Tottenham Hotspur (1-0).

Jürgen Klopp’s ‘reds’ continue to feast at the ‘Theater of Dreams’ in Manchester, and with a ‘little hand’ that made the local fans leave their devils alone in their hell, they placed second in the Premier League, to touch of a Chelsea that on Saturday thrashed to continue at the top.

In the first half the result was already 0-4 and the queues, at Old Trafford, this time were to leave the stadium early, the locals surrendered to the spectacle of Emperor Mohamed Salah, with a hat-trick, plus the goals of Diogo Jota and Naby Keïta, who opened the scoring very early, in the 5 minute, after the Egyptian’s pass.

In addition, the United of a Cristiano Ronaldo who had a goal annulled in the VAR, already 0-5 against, was left with one less player when a Paul Pogba who had entered the break was sent off for a direct red card. Despite this, Liverpool did not delve into the wound and there were no more goals to score.

Meanwhile, at the London Stadium, West Ham took the derby by beating Tottenham Hotspur with a lone goal from Michail Antonio. The forward, coming out of a corner, put his leg before the passivity of Harry Kane to score and achieve three gold points.

With this victory, the ‘hammers’ overtook their neighbors and placed fourth in the Premier table, with 17 points compared to the 15 with which the ‘Spurs’ remained, who came from winning two games but who see their streak against West Ham where Spanish Pablo Fornals stood out as positive, close to opening the can before his teammate did.

The match between Brentford and Leicester closed the day this Sunday, with victory for the ‘Foxes’ by 1-2. The visitors opened the can with a real goal from Belgian Youri Tielemans, before the quarter hour and with a whip from home.

Brentford, supported by their own, had the opportunity to save thanks to Zanka’s goal after the break, but Leicester squeezed again and James Maddison closed the victory in a quick counter set up by a Tielemans that was the best of theirs and of the party.
