Liverpool, second to last in investment in transfers of the entire Premier

Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool starts this Saturday against the recently promoted Leeds of Marcelo Bielsa the defense of the Premier and, curiously, the English champion is not only the one who has invested the least in signings of the 'Big Six' but the third to last in the entire English league. Only Brighton and Burnley have spent less than the 'red' club in this summer market.

Liverpool's only reinforcement so far is Greek left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas, for whom he paid Olympiacos € 13 million. But remember that the summer transfer market does not close in the UK until 5 October.

The signing of Thiago Alcántara by Liverpool was almost done this past August, but now the future of the medium is not only up in the air but the player commented last week that “I never said I would leave Bayern.”

The Anfield fans are somewhat concerned, not in vain the season is very long and Liverpool's rivals have signed. The most, is Frank Lampard's Chelsea: 223.2 million euros after signing Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell. With the freedom letter, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.

Only Brighton (3.55 million) and Burnley (he has not spent a euro) they have invested less than this Liverpool that in June was proclaimed champion of England for the first time in 30 years.

Manchester City, after Chelsea

The second in spending on transfers after Chelsea is Pep Guardiola's Manchester City (78.8 million euros). Of the rest of the 'Big Six', 65.4 were José Mourinho's Tottenham, 39 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United and Mikel Arteta's Arsenal 34. Liverpool's rival this Saturday, Leeds, 68.2.

On the other hand, at the moment the efforts of Klopp and Liverpool are focused on convincing Giorginio Wijnaldum not to leave the Anfield team for Ronald Koeman's Barcelona.
