MADRID 1 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Liverpool rejected an offer from Real Madrid for right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires next summer, according to The Times about the biggest rumor of recent days in the European football market.
According to The Times, the English team has rejected the Spanish team’s first offer for the 26-year-old international, Alexander-Arnold who is considered one of the best players in the world in his position and who ends his contract at Liverpool this summer.
With Dani Carvajal’s long-term injury in Madrid, the white team has been leading the pools in terms of possible destinations for Alexander-Arnold, who Anfield trusts will renew. In fact, the Premier League leader would have rejected a first offer from Madrid even at the risk of the player leaving the club, but without leaving any money once his contract ends.
The Spanish team thus tries to get ahead of the rest of the possible candidates to take the English player, but the ‘red’ team denies that, as published in Spain, Alexander-Arnold has communicated his interest in Madrid. Liverpool have work to do in these months since Arne Slot’s men will also have to think about negotiating the renewals of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
