Gareth Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, has assured that the forward gals is “happy” in Real Madrid and that he has completed the two and a half seasons of the contract he has signed by the white club.
Barnett declined to clarify whether the president of Tottenham, Daniel Levy, traveled to Madrid during the recent winter market to try to sign Bale. “Levy may visit Madrid, but I am not the one who should say if he did. Gareth is very happy in Madrid,” he said in statements to the British radio 'Talk Sport' collected by Europa Press.
In this regard, he ruled out a possible return to his former club in the short term. “I don't think so, no. Gareth is in a very lucky position. Hopefully, when your contract ends (in June 2022), sit down with me and your family and decide what you want to do, “he said.
The agent also asked to be “realistic” when analyzing Bale's situation, in the sense that “for most clubs he is financially out of his league.” “It's very good to talk about give up money and go play somewhere else, but it's not just about money. It's about his lifestyle and his children, who have grown up in Madrid, “he said.
