For the second consecutive year, Lexus is the Official Vehicle of the second cycle of the famous Horse Races in the Cadiz town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, which are held between 28 and 30 August and which this year celebrate the 179th anniversary of an event declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest.
“The brand is honoured to once again participate in this important and unique event, and is committed to supporting a prestigious and renowned event in Spain and the rest of the world,” Lexus said in a press release.
The brand is present throughout the exhibition with the entire renowned Lexus Electrified range. Among the models presented are the LC 500 Cabrio, RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, UX 300h and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. In addition, the brand’s big new model, the new LBX, will have a leading role in this exhibition.
These races are one of the most important events of the national summer and can be enjoyed from the boxes or from the beach, where the show is free. An event that brings thousands of visitors to the city every August, who come to watch the horse races live with the sunset in Doñana in the background.
This year, more than 80 horses are taking part, competing in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, the Gastronomic Capital of Spain, a stately city nestled at the mouth of the Guadalquivir and deeply marked by the discovery of the New World, as it was from there that Christopher Columbus set sail on his third voyage to the Americas, as did Ferdinand Magellan on his first trip around the world.
