Levante beat Albacete (2-3) this Sunday in matchday 15 of LaLiga SmartBank to place fourth in the table while UD Las Palmas, second, and Eibar, fifth, had to settle for sharing points with a 1-1 in Gran Canaria.
Javi Calleja begins to get the best out of a ‘granota’ team that went ahead three times at Carlos Belmonte. The third, Mohamed Bouldini’s 2-3, was the charm to take three points that make him add 26 and place fourth, one from direct promotion.
Albacete, who aspired to finish the day in the play-off zone, also looked for the goal without hesitation, in an offensive match between both teams, towing the local from Rober Ibáñez’s 0-1 after two minutes. Meanwhile, Las Palmas was placed second, after the defeat of Burgos, although they chained their third match without winning.
The Canarian team went ahead through Álex Suárez, but after two minutes Corpas equalized for Eibar. Las Palmas once again showed dominance and possession but suffered against a confident Basque team that fell back, which continues to score for being up.
Meanwhile, Granada conceded a defeat (1-0) against Real Oviedo that confirmed their slump, due to a goal from Sergi Enrich in the 80th minute and despite playing with one more from 39′. The Andalusians have only one victory in the last five games and remain eighth, two points from the promotion zone.
