Levante dismisses Paco López

Paco López is no longer coach of Levante. The one from Silla, the coach with the most games in the history of the club in the First Division, leaves the post after the decision made by the Board of Directors and the sports area at the meeting this afternoon as he was not able to straighten the course in the one that was engulfed by the team, with eight games without defeat this season, 16 counting the end of last season. Paco López leaves the club after 147 games behind him, with a balance of 49 wins, 41 draws and 57 losses, in three full seasons and the eleven at the end of 2017-18 and the eight this season. No one has led more Levante matches in the elite. At the moment his substitute on the bench is unknown.

During his time at Levante, he left four stays and a historic classification for the Copa del Rey semifinal, with a style of play that will mark an era for Orriols. Paco López leaves the club as a living history in Orriols.

The statement is as follows: “The Silla coach, after passing through the Orriols club as a player in the 94-95 season, returned to the entity in 2017 to direct Atlético Levante UD in the Third Division. After 31 matches played and with the Levantine subsidiary in the Highest in the table, Paco López was chosen in March 2018 to lead the bench of the first men's team with the aim of achieving permanence in LaLiga Santander.

His position as coach, with 147 supervised meetings, has been marked by the achievement of several historical milestones. Paco López leads the classification of Levantine coaches with the most victories in the First Division and has become the coach who has directed the most games in the club's history. In addition, under his direction, Levante UD was able to play a semifinal of the SM El Rey Cup.
