Levante UD condemned this Thursday the racist insults suffered by its Colombian striker Mayra Ramírez during the Copa de la Reina match against Alhama CF and warned that it will carry out “rigorous monitoring of the actions” that will be carried out in this regard .
According to the minutes of the match played in the Murcian town this Wednesday, racist insults were uttered against the player from the stands and by local supporters, forcing the referee Ylenia Sánchez Miguel to stop the match at minute 85 and the entrance of the Civil Guard.
“Levante UD transmits our deep discomfort and strongest condemnation for the racist insults suffered yesterday Wednesday by our Levante UD Femenino player, Mayra Ramírez, during the Queen’s Cup match held against Alhama CF in Murcia, which seen reflected in the minutes of the match”, said the Valencian team in a statement.
