Letizia sweeps Almería: pencil dress and jeweled ‘mules’ at the Macael Awards

The queen has lived this Friday a special night. The king and queen took the stage to pay homage to the winners and Don Felipe wanted to make an affectionate nod to his wife in his speech: “For me it is the first time, but it is not for the Queen. As you will remember, although it has been time, some twenty years ago, on a completely different occasion than today, as a journalist he hosted this gala just as David Baños is doing now. Surely he has very good memories of that date”.

The event coincided with the International Stone Meeting, organized by Extenda (Andalusian Public Company for Foreign Promotion), which offered a cocktail and a dinner served at round tables while the gala took place, which lasted approximately 45 minutes .

The awards, which celebrate their 35th edition, recognize professionals in the field of architecture, crafts and design, both on the national and international scene. They also distinguish people, institutions and media that have undertaken unique actions for the benefit of the sector and the area. It is considered the most important event in the natural stone sector due to its high prestige.

These awards, which in this edition have been attended by the Minister of Industry, Reyes Maroto, and the President of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno Bonilla, have distinguished personalities such as Carlos Herrera, the motorcycling rider Jorge Lorenzo, the chef Karlos Arguiñano, the production company Babieka Films or the singer David Bisbal. Among the winners of this edition are, in the Institution category, the Junta de Andalucía; in Communication, the #EstoNOtienequePARAR and #EACTIVATE initiative, which was born in the State of Alarm of 2020; in International, among others, Kindree Chescoe and his design studio KLC Kreativ; in Nacional, the Lopesan Costa Meloneras hotel in Las Palmas; and in Design, the private residence Villa Sado, in Quinta do Lago, Portugal.
