Letizia embellishes it with a Catalan brand dress and ‘baby-braids’ trend

Very busy afternoon for the kings, who have attended to two commitments in just over two hours. The first, a meeting at the Albéniz Palace with the Spanish artistic swimming and water polo teams that competed in the last World Cup; then, the presentation of the first prizes The vanguard. These took place at the National Museum of Art of Catalonia and were attended by a multitude of authorities: the vice president Nadia Calvino, the Madrid president Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the minister Miquel Iceta, the former president José María Aznar or the candidate for Moncloa, Núñez Feijóo.

The task of choosing a look for two different events and being perfect in both is not trivial but Letizia has achieved it, also, with a nod to Catalonia. The queen wore a black dress with a gold floral print signed by Dries Van Notena Belgian company in which Puig bought the majority of the shares in 2018. The dress, with a classic cut, is made of jacquard and gold lurex and belongs to a past collection, so it is no longer for sale.

The queen, who together with the king has shown her friendlier side by taking selfies with the athletes, has combined it with black kitten heel shoes from Massimo Dutti during the first act, in the palace. A much lower and more comfortable heel that was later changed to a 10 centimeter heel with shoes from Carolina Herrera. The clutch and gold earrings are also from the Venezuelan, all matching.

However, what has drawn the most attention is her beauty look, as Letizia has signed up this time for the very famous ‘baby-braids’, a trend that swept last summer and is now making a strong comeback. It involves decorating the hair (both loose and up) with small braids. Theirs have been used as a natural ‘barrier’ for the rest of the hair, behind the ears, a technique that replaces the headband.
