‘L’Équipe’ caricatures Dembélé with his injury history

The future of Ousmane Dembele must be decided in the next few weeks, after the football director Matthew German recognized during the presentation of Ferran Torres that the situation “cannot be delayed any further”, and everything seems to indicate that the French winger will not renew his contract with him Barça and will go free this next summer.

With a view to this possibility, the newspaper ‘L’Équipe’ assured that the Paris Saint-Germain could launch for the signing of Dembele, in the line published by MD a few days ago, but in France they have some doubts about the performance of the footballer due to his long history with injuries, as well as his lifestyle away from the pitch.

This is clear from the cartoon published on the back cover of ‘L’Équipe’, in which they illustrate Dembele as if it were a doll with its accessories (crutches, first aid kit, a piece of pizza, a Play Station remote, the World Cup or some headphones) and in which you can see Leonardo, sports director of the PSG, thinking about whether his signing may be a good idea.

Ousmane Dembele, who is now on leave after testing positive for Covid, has Barça’s renewal offer on the table and will shortly have to decide whether to accept or take another course in his career. The ball is in their court, but in France it is also not clear that their signing could be the solution of PSG if they leave Mbappé.
