Argentine striker Leo Messi has tested positive for coronavirus upon his return from the Christmas holidays, his club, Paris Saint-Germain, has confirmed this Sunday, which has also reported three other infections in the team.
“The four positive players in COVID-19 are Leo Messi, Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala. They currently respect isolation and are subject to the corresponding health protocol,” PSG announced in a statement.
In addition, the Parisian entity reported that Brazilian forward Neymar will continue with treatment for his injury in Brazil until January 9 with members of the Paris Saint-Germain medical and performance staff. “His return to training is still expected in about 3 weeks,” added the club.
