Leipzig coach gives up on Timo Werner

It costs a lot to think that he will continue one more campaign in Leipzig and even his coach, Julian Nagelsmann, begins to get used to the idea: “There is nothing to do about it. The technician acknowledged at the press conference offered after the last meeting that he tries to convince him, although he knows that it will be difficult, even more considering that his termination clause is affordable for a big one, since his freedom is set at 50 million euros (60 million if your club is proclaimed champion of the Bundesliga in a few weeks, something that seems complicated today): “I have taught him that he has many options for development. I don't know if it will help him much, but I tell him every day.” The list of candidates to sign him is long and the Inter de Milan is one of the most interested.

But despite trying to explain that staying at RB Leipzig is a good option, Nagelsmann admits that the striker has the last word and that as much as he insists, it will not do any good if he does not see that the club can serve to make him an even better footballer. He runs out of ideas to convince him and starts throwing in the towel for one of the most promising players in the German league: “A player has to feel that he can improve. If he doesn't feel that, it wouldn't be good if we kept telling him to stay. In the end, it's his life and career. He decides. I can't think of anything new to say to Timo.”
