Leipzig beat Augsburg and put pressure on leader Bayern

RB Leipzig opened the 21st day of the Bundesliga and did not want to miss the opportunity to put pressure on leaders Bayern. Julian Nagelsmann's team overcame Augsburg's visit (2-1) thanks to a penalty goal from Dani Olmo and another from Nkunku to get 4 points behind first place, awaiting what Hansi's team does on Monday Flick.

Despite the fact that Augsburg insisted on putting emotion in the final stretch, everything was decided in the first half where the effectiveness of Leipzig and the decisions of the referee ended up deciding the match.

The referee whistled a debatable penalty in favor of the energy box that Dani Olmo was in charge of transforming. The Spanish winger failed in the first instance, but the referee ordered a repeat shot because Gikiewicz had gone ahead of the shot. In the second he did not forgive and made it 1-0 with a powerful right hand.

Shortly after, Nkunku closed the game by taking advantage of a serve from Poulsen, which left his teammate with everything in favor, and secured Leipzig in second place.

Augsburg, who had not disturbed Gulacsi's goal throughout the match, found themselves with a penalty in favor in the 77th minute that put excitement in the final section. Caligiuri closed the gap, but Nagelsmann's team managed to hold the result to score a new victory that serves to put pressure on Bayern.
