Leeds de Bielsa rebuilds and wins over Burnley

After being beaten by Manchester United (6-2), Leeds rebuilt achieving a long-suffering victory against Burnley (1-0). In a more solid and reliable version, Marcelo Bielsa's team was worth Bamford's early goal to achieve three points and establish themselves in the middle of the table. There was no lack of agony or controversy, given that the referee decided to annul the goal for the ‘clarets’ tie, who saw their four-game streak cut without losing and still do not detach from the critical area of the table.

The match had barely started that Leeds would score the only goal of the match. Ayling's precious long pass to Bamford ended with the penalty that would define the sign of the match. The forward did not miss from eleven meters and put the whites ahead.

The controversial play of the match

The Burnley did not collapse and managed to tie in the equator of the first half. However, the referee annulled Burns' goal due to a controversial lack of Mee on goalkeeper Meslier in the dispute for an aerial ball. The VAR did not want to contradict the referee and the goal did not go up to the scoreboard.

After the controversy, the two teams had great chances to pierce the rival goal, especially Leeds, but Harrison's point-blank shot ended up hitting his teammate Bamford just before entering.

Leeds lost the face of the match in the second half, dominated by Burnley. Those of Bielsa did not get long possessions because of the pressure of their rival, however they managed to resist despite the doubts that Meslier transmitted.

Burnley pushed hard to tie, in fact they deserved it, but failed to take advantage of Leeds' defensive disaster and ended up forgiving the Whites, who are entrenched in the quiet zone of qualifying.
