LeBron James of the Lakers sends a mysterious social media message: “Trade Coming?” Are Mavs Involved?

With eight days to go until the NBA trade deadline, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has made a new, mysterious post on X, which used to be called Twitter.

Since the Lakers lost their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, their record now stands at 24-25. James seemed to react to this by posting an hourglass emoji.

Does James just mean that it will be soon enough for the Lakers to get things back on track? Could he be telling you that it’s time for him to get on to something else? Or, he might be like the rest of us and be just counting down the seconds until lunch break.

No matter what it means, James’s mysterious post couldn’t have come at a better time, given how close the trade deadline is. There has been a lot of talk about the idea of James joining up with Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving in Dallas.

James is friendly with both of the stars, and he also likes Mavs manager Jason Kidd. Kidd won the title with James as an assistant coach for the Lakers in 2020.

Also, Irving tried to get James to join Dallas during the summer while he was checking to see if he was interested.

Because LeBron has a $47.6 million contract, it is harder for Dallas to trade for him than it would be to try to sign him as a free agent this summer.

The Mavs could trade James for Tim Hardaway Jr., Grant Williams, Maxi Kleber, Josh Green, and their possibly very valuable first-round pick in 2027.

We’ve all heard the rumors about LeBron James or the Dallas Mavericks. He plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kyrie Irving, who plays with Luka Doncic, reached out to the former champion teammate last summer to see if he was interested in possibly joining the Mavs.

Now that the season is almost half over (21-22), the Lakers are still not very consistent, and some people aren’t sure if the 39-year-old is going to end his career in L.A.

If James does decide to leave the Lakers, BetOnline.ag says the Mavericks have the best odds of being his next team, either through a trade or a free agent signing.

At 6/1, the Mavericks and the New York Knicks have the fourth-best odds on the list. At 5/1, the Chicago Bulls have the third-best odds.

At 4/1, the Cleveland Cavaliers had the second-best odds, and at 3/1, the surprising San Antonio Spurs had the best odds.

Of those teams, it looks like the Mavs as well as Cavs would give James the best chance to win more than one more title before he decides to retire. very apparent he could fit in well with Doncic, Irving, Dereck Lively II (another Klutch client), and coach Jason Kidd in Dallas.

Going back to Cleveland for his third and concluding stint with a team that has come together well since he left in 2018 is another good idea.

No matter what the odds say, it’s hard not to consider Dallas as the favorite to get James if he does leave the Lakers.

Through Doncic, Irving, and James, the Mavs would have an insane amount of star power, and all three of them get along great with each other.

The fact that this team made it to the West Finals last year is quite strange. Since they added Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, as well as Gabe Vincent this summer, you could say they should be greater than they were during the hot stretch of last season.

The Lakers failed to keep up with the rising Western Conference, which means that LeBron James and Anthony Davis have more work to do than ever.
