League of Nations | Bale and Brooks keep Wales top of the group

A goal made by Gareth Bale and marked by David Brooks ended the resistance of the Republic of Ireland and gave the 1-0 win over Wales, what is one step away from returning to League A of the Nations League.

The Irish team resisted until minute 67, when the team led by Robert Page beat West Ham goal Darren Randolph.

It was in an action gestated by Daniel james on the right wing that ended with a center to the area cleared by the visitor's rear. Bale took advantage of the rejection and, headfirst, left the ball at the feet of Brooks, that brought her to the net.

The goal captured the Welsh superiority in the clash played at Cardiff City Stadium.

Bale played the ninety minutes. In added time, Ireland played one man less for the expulsion of Jeff Hendrick.

Wales will face the last day as Group 4 leader, with one point more than Finland, who won in Bulgaria (1-2) and which they will receive on Wednesday in Cardiff on the last date of the competition.

Turkey complicates Russia

Turkey came back from the opening goal scored by Valencia player Denis Cheryshev and achieved the triumph in Istanbul (3-2) complicating Russia's promotion to the top flight of the League of Nations.

The set that Stanislav Cherchesov could set foot in League A. However, your first stumble in the tournament may knock you off target to which it aspires like Hungary.

And that Russia took the lead at Fenerbahce Surku Saracoglu Stadyumu with Cheryshev's goal.

Then everything changed. The visiting table he stayed with one less player in 24, by expulsion of Andrey Semenov and Turkey took advantage of the situation and came back before the break with goals from Kenan Karaman and Cengiz Under.

Cheryshev was replaced in the 37th by Vyacheslav Karavaev, who scored Russia's second goal in the 57th, five minutes after the Cenk Tosun, penalty, signed the third of the Ottoman box.

Russia will play their promotion options on the last day, in Belgrade, against Serbia, who will fight to avoid relegation.

Slovakia is still alive

Selection of Slovakia, rival of Spain in the Eurocup, maintains its options to continue in Division B of the Nations League after defeating this Sunday Scotland (1-0), that arrived undefeated at the City Arena in Trnava.

A Jan Gregus' target, at 32 minutes, certified the first triumph in the tournament of the team directed by Stefan Tarkovic, who last Thursday celebrated, like the Scottish team, their qualification for the maximum continental tournament and that had they won this match would have certified their promotion to the first category of the League of Nations.

With the score against Scotland, they put pressure on the Slovaks and enjoyed chances to save at least the tie, but Marek Rodak, the Fulham goalkeeper, was a wall.
