Leganés did not go beyond a goalless draw against Tenerife this Friday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López, in a matchday 36 that will maintain the leadership of LaLiga Hypermotion, but giving its pursuers another foothold with its fourth 0-0 in a row.
The Madrid team seemed to accept the point, which makes them 63 at the top of the table compared to the 58 of Eibar, Espanyol and Real Valladolid, but there are four days without winning or scoring. A very stuck match, with almost no chances for both teams, with the Canaries showing their game crisis, in the middle of the table.
The first half went to half-time without knowing the goalkeepers, with Tenerife having a little more possession and a threat to take a step forward near the break. Borja Jiménez shook up his team with the changes and new system and grew in the second half, trusting that his chance would come, despite the crisis with the goal.
Enric Franquesa was the best for Leganés, because of the dangerous climbs on the left wing, even having the option of scoring. Meanwhile, Djouahra had both chances for the visitors, especially a header that he sent into the hands of the rival goalkeeper.
A new tie for the leader who, for the moment and in his reunion with Asier Garitano, now Tenerife coach and who in 2016 achieved Leganés’s only promotion to Primera, has been serving to be the main candidate to return to the elite.
