Las Palmas is encouraged and Celta cannot find the key

Pimienta’s team wins in La Cerámica while Benítez’s team cannot beat Getafe with 10

Alavés and Betis canceled each other 1-1

MADRID, 8 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

UD Las Palmas is starting to get going this season after its victory (1-2) against a damaged Villarreal, while RC Celta couldn’t (2-2) against Getafe, despite playing 60 minutes with one more player, and Deportivo Alavés and Real Betis signed a 1-1.

The ninth day of LaLiga EA Sports left an entertaining and positive Sunday for the Canary Islands team. García Pimienta’s men achieved the second success in a row, converting Cardona’s 97th minute penalty last week against Celta, to maintain faith in their chances of not going unnoticed on their return to the First Division.

For now, Las Palmas moved away from the bottom zone with a solid victory that showed the problems of a Villarreal that does not work with Pacheta. The change of coach does not work at La Cerámica, where Yeremi Pino was also injured. Coco, the Canarian centre-back, was the protagonist with the great goal that made it 0-1.

After the restart the local problems continued, with the penalty that brought the score to 0-2 by Cardona. Pacheta moved the bench, another one forced again by a blow from Albiol, but ideas and support from the stands were lacking for a touched ‘Submarino’, which cut back in injury time through Gerard Moreno, and close to the relegation zone.

On the other hand, Celta finds itself in the red zone with only one victory in nine games. Beyond the merits, Rafa Benítez’s team scores little and against Getafe they missed a good option, especially after Duarte’s second yellow card at half an hour. By then, the match was 1-1: Borja Mayoral, after two minutes, and Bamba’s local tie after Aspas missed a penalty.

The script had a hard time turning blue and even Greenwood put the Madrid team ahead, but before the break Larsen made it 2-2. The second half was a monologue for Celta, but Bordalás’ team defended well and also had a great David Soria between the sticks. A tie that undoubtedly tasted better for ‘Geta’.

Meanwhile, in Vitoria, the tie was scored by Ayoze Pérez for the Beticos and Héctor Bellerín with an own goal after three minutes. It was around half an hour in Mendizorroza when the scoreboard brightened, but Betis lacked fuel in the second half, looking to attack the European zone in the table, and Alavés, who is still hanging on to the relegation zone, somewhat of gunpowder.
