Laporta’s response to a question about Rosalía and ‘Motomami’

This Sunday was the Extraordinary assembly of committing members of FC Barcelona to vote on the agreement of sponsorship between the club and the music platform Spotify. An agreement that the Barcelona president, Joan Laportarated as “the best in the history of the club and one of the best in the world”.

It was precisely Laporta who, during the member question round, starred in a moment that has already gone viral for his funny response to an unexpected question. “As it has with other brands, Will the shirt change from putting ‘Spotify’ in one game to putting, for example, ‘Motomami’ by Rosalía in another?”, the secretary of the Board of Directors read aloud, Josep Cubellswith a stunned face and an inevitable smile at the end.

Laporta sends a greeting to Rosalía: “We like her a lot”

After listening carefully to several questions, the Barça president did not hesitate to also answer this question about the Catalan singer and her third studio album. “We do not know if it will be ‘Motomami’ by Rosalía, although we like it a lot, everything is said”, assured the leader of the Barça club.

“Greetings to Rosalía if she is listening to us, because I don’t know if she is a member of Barça but she has once expressed her sympathy for the club”, added Laporta, in addition to making it clear that at the moment they do not know what they would put on the shirts.

Green light to the agreement of the Barça with Spotify

Finally, the extraordinary Assembly held this Sunday gave the green light to Barça’s sponsorship agreement with Spotify. After a delay in the start of the Assembly and a little over two hours of presentations, questions and answers, the agreement was approvedalthough without the financial amount being made public, with 625 votes in favor, 49 against and 27 blank. 89% of the 701 votes cast, favorable.
