As reported by RAC1, Joan Laporta, candidate for the presidency of Barça, has on his list and thinks of Mikel Arteta (3-26-1982) to replace Ronald Koeman if he is president of Barcelona on March 7. Mikel Arteta is the current Arsenal manager, his first adventure as a first manager after a three-year apprenticeship with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Laporta has not been forceful with Ronald Koeman throughout the electoral campaign. He has asked for respect for what he considers an institution and a legend of Barça, but it has not guaranteed that it will fulfill its contract. In fact, he has repeatedly pointed out that Koeman's future will be decided by “the results and the game.”
The former president between 2003 and 2010 has insisted on the need to see an evolution in the game this season. Koeman has a contract until June 2022 and Arteta, who has had moments of discussion at Arsenal, is now tenth with 37 points, 25 behind the leader, Manchester City of his teacher, Pep Guardiola.
