Laporta postpones decision on Koeman's future

Joan Laporta has decided to catch the bull by the horns before the worrying drift of the team in recent games, where he has practically gotten off for the LaLiga fight and consequently for the possibility of finishing the course with a double, after the achievement of the Copa del Rey. The Blaugrana president summoned an urgent meeting with Ronald Koeman to know first-hand what was happening in the team and put solutions as soon as possible for the planning of the next season. A planning, by the way, in which Laporta has not yet publicly pronounced whether Koeman will be there or not.

Laporta and Koeman shared a tablecloth in a well-known restaurant in the upper area of ​​Barcelona, ​​a meeting in which the sports vice president and right-hand man of the president, Rafa Yuste, also participated. For more than two hours they addressed all the issues of the Blaugrana current affairs, among which the bad moment of the team's game stood out in their own light. The president wanted to know what were the conclusions of the technical staff about the drop in performance in recent weeks, which has led him to throw practically any option for the title, after the frustrating defeats against Granada at the Camp Nou (1-2) and the draw on the last day against Levante (3-3) at the Ciutat de Valencia, after being traced back in three minutes by a 0-2 in favor .

Regarding Koeman's future at the helm of the team, the Dutchman still has one more season to complete, it seems that he remains in 'stand by', waiting for a next meeting at the end of the season.

In any case, Laporta still does not publicly ratify Koeman for the next course. The Blaugrana leader was approached by the journalists who were waiting for him at the exit of the restaurant, but Laporta preferred not to make statements and keep the fans in suspense about whether or not the Dutch coach will continue to lead the club next season.
