The Canadian driver Lance Stroll and the Frenchman Pierre Gasly will continue in the 2025 season of the Formula 1 World Championship in Aston Martin and Alpine, after signing both multi-year contracts, as confirmed this Thursday by their teams.
“Aston Martin Aramco and Lance Stroll are delighted to confirm a contract extension that will allow Lance to compete in the new era of Formula One regulations and beyond,” the British team said in a statement.
He stressed that the North American “has played an important role in the project” since he joined the team in 2019, with which he has achieved three podiums. His renewal, after the one confirmed months ago by the Spanish Fernando Alonso, will make Aston Martin race in 2025 for the third consecutive campaign with the same lineup of drivers.
