LaLiga has announced this Tuesday that it will commercialize in a “non-exclusive” way the audiovisual rights of the SmartBank League, the Spanish Second Division, as agreed by the Control Body of said body.
“The decision has been made after the completion, today, of the Bid Request Procedure for Lot 7 (Second Division) in which, after its publication on May 3, a period was opened to present exclusive offers for the commercialization of Lot 7”, informs LaLiga.
“Once the term has expired without any offer being submitted, it has been decided to undertake a non-exclusive marketing plan for these rights, in accordance with the provisions of the ‘Subsidiary Marketing’ section of the aforementioned bid request procedure. In the In the next few days, more information will be provided on this non-exclusive marketing format,” adds LaLiga in a statement.
In this way, as “in the case of Horeca, LaLiga hopes that this new marketing method will allow not only to achieve a sales value similar to the previous cycle, but also a better distribution of the product, a more competitive offer and, therefore, , a better access to the competition”.
