MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
LaLiga announced this Monday that it will donate more than 23,000 meals and 28,000 scarves and hats to those who need them most, continuing this Christmas its collaboration with social organizations in 40 Spanish cities.
For the sixth consecutive year, LaLiga and its clubs turn to those who need it most and join forces again with Spanish City Councils at Christmas to help vulnerable families through more than 100 soup kitchens in 40 different Spanish cities.
Thanks to the collaboration with local soup kitchens, LaLiga will offer more than 23,000 meals. Specifically, special menus on Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Eve and Epiphany, with the aim of offering improved nutrition to those people in unfavorable situations during these important dates.
After five seasons, this solidarity campaign by LaLiga and its clubs is consolidated at Christmas in favor of those who need it most. As has been done in previous years, LaLiga also donates winter equipment, specifically 28,000 scarves and hats to these soup kitchens.
The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, commented that, once again, LaLiga and its clubs are committed to “the most disadvantaged” on these “very special” dates, to “accompany them” and so that they can “enjoy warm clothing and a menu typical of Christmas.”
LaLiga thus puts the strength of our football at the service of society in the values that unite us, thus contributing to more people being able to enjoy Christmas, asserting its responsibility as a social agent.
