The league announced on Tuesday its decision to claim to the Federation 25 million euros for damages after the ruling of the Provincial Court of Madrid. This ruling gave the reason to the employers in their conflict with the Federation on behalf of the parties on Friday and Monday, to which the body chaired by Luis Rubiales is frontally opposed.
“LaLiga, once the firmness of the resolution is declared, will proceed to claim damages from the RFEF in an amount to be determined that it estimates in 25 million euros approximately”, Assures the employer in a statement issued this Tuesday.
In the statement, the body chaired by Javier Tebas emphasizes that the judgment qualifies the performance of the RFEF as a ‘pure measure of pressure (…) to obtain an economic benefit’. And it emphasizes that the text of the Hearing determines that establishing “dates and times of the matches is the responsibility of the organization of the competition,” that is, LaLiga.
