MADRID, 19 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
LaLiga has completed the campaign for the start of the 2022-23 season by giving its more than 1,100 players and team coaches a ‘Welcome Pack’ with an exclusive sculpture LaLiga by Felipao, made by the Spanish sculptor Felipe García-Bañon Sanz-Briz , known as ‘Felipao’.
“This action combines art with the values of our brand, and for this reason it has also become a campaign with its own media that has managed to provide a differential and attractive touch within the territory of art, less experienced in the universe of LaLiga. The good reception by the players has encouraged us to share the experience with all the fans,” said LaLiga’s Global Brand Director, Ángel Fernández.
The sculpture of Felipao ‘Poppi’, a French bulldog especially popular with celebrities, has been the chosen piece: the artist has designed a limited edition of the work, which in this case wears a collar with the LaLiga logo and the signature ‘ Felipao by LaLiga’ of the author exclusively.
This piece has been delivered to the more than 1,100 footballers, and also to their coaches, as a welcome gift for this new 2022-23 season, including Falcao, Rakitic, Mario Suárez and Roger Marti, who have already received it at home before the cameras of LaLiga. This sculpture was accompanied, as in other years, by a corporate Token (a collectible figure), personalized with the most outstanding game statistics of the players throughout the 2021-22 season.
“Like every year, we have taken advantage of the power of the Mediacoach video analysis platform to print the key metrics of each player on the collectible, in a totally personalized way. To this “token” we have also added this year this sculpture, which we believe manages to transmit all the strength of our competition with an aesthetically attractive design for players. The idea was to take the usual start of the season for players one step further, managing to reflect the excitement of LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank in a unique welcome for some of its main protagonists”, said the director of LaLiga Competitions, Luis Gil.
