LaLiga is the football league with the most followers on social networks, specifically 140.6 million, while it is the third sporting competition with the most fans on social channels, behind the NBA (214.3 million) and the Liga de Champions (211.4 million), according to a study published this Wednesday by KPMG Football Benchmark that analyzes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Weibo.
The NBA has its largest number of followers on Weibo (42.7 million) and also on YouTube (17.9 million). The ranking shows the dominance of football, since 5 of the 10 competitions analyzed are football.
Below the podium formed by the NBA, the Champions League and LaLiga, the Premier League is the fourth competition with the most followers (140 million), followed by the FIFA World Cup (97.5), the NFL (87 .8), Formula 1 (46.6), ONE Chmapionship -mixed martial arts- (37.3), Europa League (36.8) and Indian Premier League cricket (35.6).
