LaLiga, through its Educational Department LaLiga Business School, is launching the Master’s Degree in Digital Leadership for the first time, to promote digital transformation in the sports and entertainment industry, one of the key pillars on which the growth of LaLiga will be based. the entire sector, according to a statement issued by the employers this Wednesday.
This master’s degree is added to the other six that LaLiga Business School already offers, together with the MBA and different courses. Specifically, the Master in Digital Leadership is designed and taught by professionals from the LaLiga Digital Strategy Department and by LaLiga Tech, and its objective is to train and identify current and future professionals who are going to lead and direct the digital area of companies sports and entertainment, both nationally and internationally.
According to LaLiga, the arrival of CVC as a partner represents “a turning point in the digitization process” of the entire industry, as well as in terms of employability, since the projects related to LaLiga Impulso require “incorporating qualified talent” and “an adequate updating of the professionals who are already working in the Sports Industry”.
For this reason, the LaLiga Educational Department, LaLiga Business School, will work together with the clubs to help them achieve these objectives through training and will adapt its academic training offer to the requirements of the sector.
For LaLiga’s Head of Social Media & Digital Content, Jaume Pons, in the digital world “there are very few absolute truths: what is true today may no longer be true tomorrow”. “The speed at which new technological proposals appear and our ability to adapt to continuous change are two basic pillars for understanding the digitization process. It is up to us to decide if we want to be part of this transformation or be mere spectators,” he stressed.
For his part, the General Director of LaLiga Tech, Miguel Ángel Leal, pointed out that “the future of sport and entertainment is already being driven by digital”, with the growth of online platforms. “Our industry leaders need to combine sports knowledge with an ‘in-house’ understanding of technology. Creating digital processes in every part of the organization, adapting content for new generations and analyzing data are crucial steps to maintain relationships as powerful with the fans”, explained
The master’s degree, which will last from February to October 2023 and will be taught in person at the LaLiga headquarters, guarantees its students internships for a minimum of 6 months in LaLiga, in its associated clubs/SADs or companies related to the Sports Industry.
