LaLiga launches an MBA in Qatar together with its local partner Aspire Zone Foundation

MADRID, 17 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –

LaLiga has launched an MBA in Doha (Qatar) on the Sports and Entertainment Industry, a project created in collaboration with the Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and which uses education as a means to foster and develop talent in the industry sports, as reported by the employer this Monday in a statement.

This MBA reaffirms LaLiga’s commitment to professionalize the sports sector and, in accordance with our slogan (‘It’s not football. It’s LaLiga’), positions the competition at the forefront of all leagues, not only in sporting terms, but also in related to educational standards.

In relation to this educational alliance, the executive general director of LaLiga, Óscar Mayo, stated that for the management, education is “a fundamental pillar” of its institutional philosophy. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to continue sharing the knowledge of LaLiga in the Middle East and, in particular, in Qatar,” he admitted.

For his part, the CEO of AZF, Mohammed Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, highlighted the leadership of the foundation. “The Aspire Zone Foundation is known around the world for its pioneering character in sports innovation and performance. We are proud to collaborate with LaLiga to demonstrate the superiority of our integrated services model as we continue to seek ambitious inspirations from the Qatar National Vision 2030 plan” , he pointed.

AZF has been working with LaLiga since the MOU was signed in 2019, with a commitment to developing talent. Both institutions have joined forces on several projects and, now, will offer an MBA on the Sports and Entertainment Industry, in which the study of the new digital, technological and marketing transformation will prepare future leaders of the sports and entertainment industry in Qatar, the rest of the MENA region and elsewhere.

The first promotion of this new MBA will study between February 2022 and November 2022, with face-to-face classes in Doha and monthly virtual seminars. In addition, this course will include educational visits, with five-day trips to London and Madrid already scheduled.
