LaLiga gives up and expands access to 14 photographers and six radios

LaLiga has expanded this Saturday the space it had reserved for the media in the First and Second stadiums ahead of the return of soccer behind closed doors that will occur next week. Despite the fact that he had already sent the protocol to the clubs days ago, as we revealed here yesterday, he has yielded and is willing to include some more proposal from the Higher Sports Council so that seven more professionals can access than originally set.

The changes, as reported by Cope in Game time and AS has been able to confirm, they will benefit the photographers, who will go from 8 to 14, and the radios, which at first would be able to access 5 and now they will put 6. The EFE and RNE Agency are assured of their presence, as well as RTVE with TVs. Where there will be no changes, according to sources consulted by LaLiga, is with the camera operators (4) and with the written press (6). Even so, the CSD assures that there are no exact figures and that there could be some flexibility depending on the different stadiums and parties. In fact, many media professionals hope that, as the days go by, the rules can be somewhat relaxed so that there can be greater news coverage. On Monday LaLiga meets with the clubs again to give them more information on all the protocols to follow.

Photographers have been one of the most combative guilds in recent weeks. In fact, they came to meet in the different sports cities of Spain on May 26 to report their situation. Yesterday, after learning about the protocol, they also refused to allow the National Association of Graphic Press and Television Reporters to be responsible for deciding who entered and who did not, something that the Sports Press Association also decided to do with the editors. Although in general the photographers (mostly freelancers) are more satisfied, they still do not understand why the number is not increased further and they are allowed to put cameras with remote control behind the goal as usual.
