LaLiga forces Madrid to perform the Covid-19 tests in Valdebebas

The Real Madrid squad is summoned this Sunday to pass the Covid-19 tests before starting preseason training. Initially, It was planned that these medical examinations would be carried out in the homes of each footballer. However, according to the newspaper ABC, LaLiga has already informed the white club that the tests will take place at the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas facilities. The players will be subjected to the Covid-19 tests starting at 8:00 a.m.

LaLiga has justified this change of scenery by referring to the fact that going to each player's home involves an extra cost of personnel, time and money. To date, Madrid had carried out individualized tests in the players' homes to avoid contact between them. Only Mariano has tested positive among the members of the white squad after the week that the team had vacation after winning the league title.

The Madrid squad will start working under Zidane next Monday. The players have enjoyed 23 days of vacation since last August 7 they were eliminated from the Champions League by Manchester City.
