MADRID, 7 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
LaLiga confirmed this Tuesday that it has filed a complaint with the
Investigating Courts of Palma de Mallorca for racist insults against Real Madrid footballer Vinicius Jr, produced last Sunday in his match against RCD Mallorca at the Mallorca Son Moix Stadium.
“Once the images and audios captured from a place close to the stands of the only back of the Son Moix stadium occupied by the public have been analyzed, LaLiga has transferred all the information collected together with its complaint, both to the Investigating Courts of Palma de Mallorca, as well as RCD Mallorca in order for it to appear in the case,” LaLiga said in a statement.
The association of professional clubs recalled that this “is the sixth complaint” filed for insults or racist chants against the Brazilian winger, although “three of them were filed by the Prosecutors delegated for Hate Crimes in Barcelona, Mallorca and Madrid , respectively”, while two more are being “subject to processing” before the Investigating Courts of No. 4 Valladolid and No. 28 of Madrid.
“We remind you that, to speed up the identification of any person or group of people who manifest racist behavior in any stadium or outside it, LaLiga has enabled ‘StopRacismo@laliga.es’ so that fans can contact LaLiga and facilitate the necessary identification to file the pertinent complaints”, stressed LaLiga, who insisted that “it has been fighting against this type of behavior for years and promoting the positive values of sport, not only on the pitch, but also off it”.
