LaLiga and XS2Event will boost the presence of foreign fans in stadiums

MADRID, 4 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

LaLiga and the 'XS2Event' platform will promote the presence of foreign fans in the stadiums, a project in which LaLiga clubs will offer tickets to the tour operator agency so that fans from outside Spain can watch live matches in some stadiums of the championship .

For the moment, LaLiga indicated that 'XS2Event' provides tickets to more than 750 travel agencies in more than 89 countries and that the clubs that have joined the initiative are Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla FC, Real Sociedad, Athletic Club, UD Almería, UD Las Palmas, RCD Mallorca and Girona FC.

For Jaime Blanco, deputy to the Presidency of LaLiga, “it is important for clubs to facilitate these types of experiences to their international followers since they are a fundamental part of their international growth.” “International fans spend on average 30 percent more than national fans, providing a source of extra income for clubs,” he highlighted.

For his part, Jeroen Huis in 't Veld, co-founder of 'XS2Event', expressed that they are “proud to welcome LaLiga” on their 'ticketing' platform. “With this unique agreement we will be able to help Spanish sporting events become more accessible to the travel industry. With more than 750 travel agencies using our platform we are confident that we will help LaLiga and the clubs with new international business opportunities,” he pointed out.

The process consists of the agency purchasing from the club, in advance, 10 tickets for each match of the 2023/2024 LaLiga EA Sports season, which it then offers on its platform to facilitate access to all international fans. In addition, the specific agreement with each club can be modified by increasing the number of tickets or offering immersive experiences such as a visit to the museum or the possibility of taking a stadium tour.

“In short, a project that facilitates the immersion of all LaLiga fans around the world, bringing them closer to living the experience of watching a live match of the competition, benefiting both the fan and the club. With this pilot project led by Through the Club Office, LaLiga once again demonstrates its support for clubs in generating income and promoting attendance at stadiums,” concluded the club association.
