MADRID, 29 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
LaLiga and SportBoost have selected this Wednesday the Korean startup 4DReplay as the winner of the Fan Engagement Challenge, as it is a company, with offices in San Francisco, Seoul and Tokyo, that develops technologies focused on offering interactive and personalized content viewing experiences live.
The selected company made itself known to LaLiga and SportBoost in the appeal that they launched a few months ago to technological startups. The objective of this call was to capture the most disruptive solutions with growth potential, in relation to data generation, capture or analysis of fan data, user/consumer personalization, interactivity on OTT or TV platforms, Social networks, Apps , Gamings and NFTs, in the field of Fan Engagement.
“4DReplay is the ideal startup to win this challenge because its technology builds on one of LaLiga’s key objectives, offering interactive and increasingly personalized viewing experiences for our audience,” explained Minerva Santana, LaLiga’s Director of Innovation.
Both LaLiga and SportBoost sought projects that had technological innovation as their core business for the creation of new experiences that bring fans closer to sport, the generation and marketing of new products and services, and that were also capable of maturing as sustainable business projects and scalable.
4DReplay will now go on to collaborate with LaLiga and SportBoost. Specifically, it will carry out a pilot project to test its solution for the production of 360º and dynamic sports replays in near real time, and it will do so with Atlético de Madrid.
The Challenge held was a complete success and managed to attract 120 technology companies that offered fan engagement solutions to improve the sports industry. Of all of them, four finalists were selected to present their solutions in a final phase before a jury made up of experts from LaLiga, LaligaTech and SportBoost. These startups were CollectID, The football Club, Score Play and 4DReplay.
The other three finalists will receive a series of benefits, among which is the possibility of receiving advice from SportBoost and entering its PEO (Player Entrepreneurship Office) program, which links athletes with companies to that collaborate with them through investment, entrepreneurship or mentoring.
LaLiga’s objective with this type of project is to accelerate the digital transformation of the sports and entertainment industry with a unique ecosystem of integrated technologies.
