LaLiga and EA Sports promote grassroots football through the renovation of football fields

MADRID, 9 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

EA Sports FC and LaLiga agreed to renovate four football fields in Málaga (Spain), Singapore, Cape Town (South Africa) and Jalisco (Mexico) to promote and promote grassroots football globally under the EA Sports FC Futures project, of which Approximately 65,000 people already enjoy it, according to a statement from the employers’ association issued this Tuesday.

“The presence in these four new cities represents another step in the commitment of the EA Sports FC Futures initiative, promoting the financing and development of football. The objective of the action is that more and more children, regardless of their geographical location, have the opportunity to enjoy and participate in this sport,” both entities made clear.

Thus, since last March 5, EA Sports and LaLiga have collaborated with different local governments to present the renewal of community fields in disadvantaged areas of these cities. The local artists in charge of rehabilitating the different fields have been a fundamental part of the project: Play in Colors in Malaga, Tobyato in Singapore, Karabo Poppy in Cape Town and Trasheer in Jalisco.

“Through this project, EA Sports is investing in the future of football. A future that involves providing young people with the tools they need to have a positive impact on the game and pursue their dreams. Our vision is to inspire the world to love football and our mission is to provide greater access to sport. Our continued partnership and investment with LaLiga is another step in this direction,” said James Salmon, Marketing Director of EA Sports FC.

From LaLiga, they insisted that they want to “support” the boys and girls of these disadvantaged areas with this project. “We are sure that FC Futures is going to bring great joy to these communities, offering them the means and spaces where they can enjoy the game and remain linked to the values of this sport,” said the entity’s corporate general director, Jorge de la Vega. .

The renovation of these fields represents for LaLiga and EA Sports “a long-term commitment to personal and community development through sport.” Around 65,000 people residing in these four areas have already enjoyed the renovated facilities since their inauguration.

Some events attended by more than one hundred children, who also enjoyed training sessions with former footballers and LaLiga ambassadors Fernando Morientes, Gaizka Mendieta, Miguel Torres and Nassief Morris.

The EA Sports FC Futures project also incorporates three other important pillars: the granting of study and training scholarships; the donation of 10,000 balls to NGOs and local administrations; and a training program inspired by the EA Sports FC 24 video game.
