LaLiga and EA Sports FC arrive in Malaga to continue promoting grassroots football in Spain

MADRID, 6 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

EA Sports FC Futures and LaLiga presented the recently renovated La Luz field in Málaga this Wednesday, with the presence of former Málaga CF footballer Miguel Torres, who gave dozens of children present a training session, according to a statement from the association.

FC Futures is EA Sports’ initiative that aims to “significantly invest in community football through product innovation, community investment and partner initiatives across all fundamentals of football.”

Former Málaga player and LaLiga ambassador Miguel Torres helped inaugurate the renovation of the field in the city of Málaga, where local children were able to enjoy a training session with the former footballer.

In collaboration with ‘Play in Colors’, the Malaga artistic group committed to the rehabilitation of community spaces, the field has been transformed with the aim of “providing a pleasant meeting place so that young aspiring footballers in the area can practice this sport”.

Specifically, an artistic intervention was carried out on the worn floor of the track with a pictorial technique in which color and geometric shapes are the protagonists.

EA Sports FC and LaLiga already carried out a similar project with the launch of the Francisco De Laguna field in Madrid last year. All this with the mission of “making football accessible to everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic origin or geographical location.”

The renovation of the La Luz field provides locals with an improved physical space to play and “represents a long-term commitment to personal and community development through sport.” “EA Sports FC is investing in the future of football. A future that involves providing young people with the tools they need to have a positive impact on the game and pursue their dreams,” said James Salmon, Senior Director of Marketing at EA Sports. .

The company’s vision is to “inspire the world to love football and our mission is to provide greater access to the sport.” “Our continued partnership and investment with LaLiga is another step in this direction,” she added.

“Having the opportunity to give back to society what society has given us is key. We are sure that together we will continue to inspire the world through the values of football and helping children and young people pursue their dreams,” said Jorge de la Vega, executive director of LaLiga.

Another of the pillars of the FC Futures project lies in access to education, both academic and sports. For this reason, both entities agreed to grant 20 annual scholarships to help children from different parts of the world.
