As the club explains in its official statement, the 5th Edition of the #SiempreFuerte Awards goes ‘Pokito a Poko’ making progress in its preparations for the gala to be held at the Museo Picasso Málaga next Tuesday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. hours.
And it is that the charismatic leader of Chambao La Mari will follow in the footsteps of María Peláe, Diana Navarro, Marina Rojas and ‘El Kanka’ to put her voice in this V edition of some awards that started as a memory of the great Pablo Ráez and that have been consolidated to the point of becoming the true Goya of Málaga Club de Fútbol.
At the next gala, La Mari will be in charge of opening and closing the awards, offering a special and unique performance where she will play the hang, an ideal instrument for the songs she will perform. In addition, she will be accompanied by a cast of spectacular musicians made up of Coki Jiménez, Yelsy Heredia, Joselito Acedo and Agustín Carrillo. The Malaga-born singer is one of the benchmarks on the national music scene. Since she started with Chambao and her first demo in 2001, until today, where she prepares her new album.
Malaga’s website continues with its explanation. In 2020, he released ‘Corazón Valiente’, an emotional fight song in which he pays tribute to our beloved Pablo Ráez. Who better to represent the special character of the gala! With her personal flamenco touch and her ‘Duende del Sur’, La Mari will maintain the autochthonous essence of the # SiempreFuerte Awards gala and will fill the stage of the Picasso Museum in Malaga with her art.
A jury made up of eleven people headed by Paco Ráez, Pablo’s father and honorary member, decided the winners. This jury was made up of José María Muñoz (judicial administrator of the Mñaklaga), Francisco Martín Aguilar (Counsellor of Protocol and Institutional Relations), Lucas Rodríguez (Coordinator of the MCF Foundation), Sebastián Fernández ‘Basti’ (Social Area of the MCF Foundation), David Lombán (captain of the men’s Málaga), Clo García (captain of the women’s Málaga) and Antonio Noel (captain of Málaga Genuine), Francisco Javier Pomares (Councillor for Social Rights and Equality of the Málaga City Council), María Lourdes Piña (Deputy for Equality, Social Services and Families of the Diputación de Málaga) and Lola Fernández (Delegate for Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation of the Junta de Andalucía), representing the City Council, Diputación and Junta de Andalucía, present at the voting act.
