‘La Absoluta’ breaks down the successes of the best Spanish team

Carles Puyol produces this story that narrates the ins and outs of the ‘Roja’

MADRID, 14 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ins and outs of the Spanish soccer team that won a World Cup and two European Championships will come to light this November 17, when Primer Video premieres the documentary ‘La Absoluta’ in Spain and Andorra, with associated executive production by a protagonist of that ‘ Red’; center back Carles Puyol.

Directed by Jorge Laplace and associated executive production by Carles Puyol, the documentary explains the history of the Spanish election that won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2008 and 2012 European Championships.

However, the story reels off the youth of the protagonists, previously going through the failure of the 2006 World Cup, with the elimination in the round of 16 against France in extra time.

“I wanted this story to be told because it is a clear example that when a group is united it can achieve anything it sets out to do, and this is applicable to any area of our society”, said Carles Puyol himself.

No other team had managed to win a World Cup and two European Championships consecutively until Spain, the protagonist of the story, achieved it. ‘La Absoluta’ reveals, however, the criticism that ‘Roja’ received before being praised, after its success, by the same people who had ridiculed it.
