American guard Kyle Guy became a new Lenovo Tenerife player this Monday, coming from Panathinaikos and after reaching an agreement with Joventut.
“Lenovo Tenerife has acquired the services of American international Kyle Guy until the end of the season, after reaching an agreement between clubs with Joventut de Badalona, his previous team in the ACB,” says the Canary Islands club.
Guy returns to the Endesa League after his time at 'Penya', who maintained the right of first refusal over the player, a club against which he will debut dressed in aurinegro on the 6th on matchday 17.
The 1.88 guard trained at the University of Virginia, with which he became an NCAA champion and was chosen 'Best Player' of the tournament in 2019. Once his university career was over, he played both in the NBA (Sacramento Kings and Miami Heats) as in the G-League, before making the jump to Europe.
The American landed in Badalona last season, to sign for Panathinaikos in the summer. Now, the Yankee shooter returns to the ACB with a Lenovo Tenerife team that is leading its FIBA Champions group, but in domestic competition it will be played on the last day of the first round to be in the Copa del Rey.
