MADRID, 8 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Estonian forward of Cazoo Baskonia, Maik Kotsar, was chosen this Saturday as MVP of the first round of the Euroleague, after his great performance in the victory over Valencia Basket, in what was his debut in the continental competition.
Kotsar became a giant at La Fonteta last Thursday, in a 71-81 in which he signed 31 PIR credits, with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The Estonian becomes the first player from his country to win this award.
It was the dream debut for a Kotsar who at the break already had 15 points and who was once again decisive in the final stretch in Joan Peñarroya’s team, to frustrate the reaction of Valencia Basket, in a great connection with his teammate Thompson, in both hoops from the ‘taronja’ court.
