Koke wants to extend his scoring streak against Huesca

After the overwhelming victory of Atlético against Granada (6-1) In their debut in LaLiga 2020-21, Simeone's men face their next match in the domestic competition just three days later. They will have to visit the El Alcoraz stadium to play against the newly promoted Huesca. The Huesca have scored two draws and one defeat in their three games this season, while the rojiblancos postponed their first two games (against Sevilla and Levante) due to their participation in the Champions League in August and must recover them in 2021.

The precedents between both teams are not very flattering for the Alto Aragonese. Athletic and Huesca they saw each other in the only season of the hands in the First Division (2018-19) and in the two confrontations the Madrilenians added the three points with a balance of six goals in favor and none against. The first duel took place on the sixth day, on September 25, 2018 at the Wanda Metropolitano, and the result was 3-0 in favor of the locals with goals from Griezmann, Thomas and Koke. On the return leg, played on matchday 20, on January 19, 2019 in El Alcoraz, the result was the same for the mattress holders with goals from Lucas Hernández, Arias and Koke, who assisted in the first goal.

The Atlético captain was able to score in both games against the Huesca, something very striking considering that that season he was only able to score one more goal in the remaining 28 games of the league championship (against Sevilla on the penultimate matchday) and added six among all competitions in 41 games. The rojiblanco midfielder is not characterized by lavishing much in the scorer aspect and proof of this is that, In his 458 games with the Atlético shirt (the fourth most in the club's history), he has scored a total of 45 goals.

Throughout his professional career with the first mattress team, Koke only has a similar balance (scoring a goal in all the games he has played against a team) with the Swedish Malmö, with whom he faced twice in the 2014-15 Champions League, managing to score both in the first leg (5-0; scored the first and passed the next three) as in the return (0-2 and also opened the can). However, his favorite victim in these years is Sevilla, against which he has achieved seven targets in 20 matches.
