Koeman's Barça, the second worst away team in LaLiga

That Ronald Koeman's team is one of the worst versions of Barcelona in recent years in LaLiga is unquestionable. While in the game it offers flashes of green shoots at times, with the numbers in hand, the conclusions could not be more negative and fatalistic. He already has four defeats in thirteen games – the same ones that Ernesto Valverde recorded in the first two seasons-, losing a total of 18 points out of 39 possible, 46%.

But if these cold numbers already demonstrate the low profile of Barcelona at this start of the season, the situation worsens alarmingly when we confine ourselves to away games. In fact, in the five games that he has played so far outside the Camp Nou, he adds only a victory -Celta (0-3) -, a draw -Alavés (1-1) – and three defeats: Getafe (1-0), Atlético de Madrid (1-0) and Cádiz (2-1).

These very poor four points that he adds at home make him the second worst team in LaLiga, tied with the bottom, Osasuna, but the fact that the Navarrese have played one more game and that their goal balance is lower, makes the 'rojillos' the worst Primera team away from home.

The differences between Barcelona and their theoretical rivals in the fight for the title leave Koeman's pupils in evidence. Real Madrid adds 17 points away from Valdebebas, although it is true that the whites have played eight away games, but the Atlético, with five games, has accumulated ten points, the same as Sevilla, with one more match as a visitor than the Blaugrana.

Teams like Huesca, Valladolid, Athletic and Levante have added one more point than the Blaugrana as visitors, although all of them are between seven and eight games.

This Tuesday's game against Valladolid in Pucela is presented as vital to clean the image of the Blaugrana outside the Camp Nou, who have not won as visitors in LaLiga for almost three months. The last time: on the second day, against Celta in Balaídos (0-3), on October 1. Since then, only one more point to the bag, against Alavés in Vitoria (1-1), on October 31.
