Koeman, dismissed

As officially announced by Barça at the edge of 12:15 this Wednesday, Ronald Koeman has been dismissed as Barça coach. Ratified by Joan Laporta just before the Wanda Metropolitano game, the president has rectified and the Dutch coach ceases to be a Barça coach fourteen months after his arrival on the bench. Koeman leaves with Barça in a delicate position in LaLiga, and with a Cup title in his pockets.

As reported by RAC, there are three candidates for the bench: Xavi Hernández, waiting for a call in Qatar; Sergi Barjuan, subsidiary coach; and Marcelo Gallardo, River Plate coach. Xavi is the one destined to be the coach of Barça.

The end of Ronald Koeman has had a sad point. Laporta, hesitant, leaked after the game against Benfica that Koeman would be charged, but he waited for the break. He knew how to mark the times. He let it burn in the Wanda game and pulled the strings in case, as he feared, the results did not respond to him. After losing the Classic and against Rayo, he has executed it.
