The ‘reds’ are one step away from overcoming the round of 16 of the Champions League after beating Inter at the San Siro in the first leg (0-2), they have reduced their disadvantage to 6 points (with one game less played) compared to leadership of the Premier League held by Manchester City and is favorite to beat Norwich tomorrow at Anfield in the round of 16 of the FA Cup.
“No team has won it,” Klopp said today at a press conference regarding the poker that Liverpool opts for. “Not that we are anywhere near that. We have won the Carabao Cup, we are behind City in the Premier and now we have Norwich in the FA Cup having played 120 minutes on Sunday.”
“I don’t see it as a compliment when people say we can (win poker), but people better think we can do good things rather than useless. We face a lot of good teams between now and the end of May.” , assured Klopp in an attempt to curb the euphoria in the Liverpool environment.
“The reality is that to win something you have to focus on the next step and not on the next one. That’s what we do,” concluded Klopp, who will introduce changes against Norwich tomorrow. Thiago Alcántara is out due to the injury he suffered during the warm-up at Wembley on Sunday and prevented him from playing against Chelsea in the League Cup final.
