Kingsley Coman puts Euro Cup on hold and attends the birth of his fourth child

French winger Kingsley Coman has temporarily left the French national team and Euro 2024 to be with his partner, who is about to give birth to their fourth child.

A spokesman for the French team confirmed that Coman left after Monday’s 1-0 victory over Belgium in the round of 16 of the competition to be with his partner in Sweden.

France’s next match is the quarter-final against Portugal, this coming Friday in Hamburg.

So far, Coman has only made his appearance at the European Championship as a substitute in the 0-0 draw against the Netherlands in the group stage, after an injury-plagued season at Bayern Munich.
