Kiko Olivas, submitted to an arthroscopy

Real Valladolid player Kiko Olivas, who has been injured for a long time since the end of last season, underwent arthroscopy in his left knee this Monday in order to release adhesions and accelerate his recovery process.

Under the direction of Dr. José María Lomo, head of Real Valladolid's medical services, the intervention has been carried out satisfactorily in a hospital in the Valladolid capital, sources from the club reported.

The player, who underwent surgery on July 31 for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, an injury to the external meniscus, a grade I sprain in the lateral collateral ligament and a bone edema in the external femoral condyle, is expected to begin work on the turf in the next few weeks.

The rest of the squad, after the match against Levante last Friday, returned to work this afternoon to prepare for the next match against Atlético de Madrid.

The coaching staff has designed a session with a leading role for the ball, which the players developed with intensity and which ended with a match in a reduced space.
