Kessié signs for Barça

Franck Kessié (19-12-1996) will play for Barcelona next season. In fact, he has already signed his contract. This is how Cadena SER advances this Tuesday and was able to confirm AS. The Ivorian midfielder, whose contract with Milan ends next June, is Barça’s first signing for 2022-23. Kessié, except for surprise, will soon be accompanied by the Dane Christensen, whom last week the president of Barça, Joan Laporta, practically took for granted.

Barça’s salary constraints have not prevented the Barça club from continuing to work on reinforcements, hence the trip to London to close Christensen. Even to Munich, to try to seduce Haaland. But the one who has already said yes, even stamping his signature, is Kessié, a player who will come to Barça fully mature and who has been one of the few benchmarks for Milan in recent years.

Lung in midfield, and a dynamic player, he has participated in 29 games with Milan. He has scored six goals and has given an assist. Kessié will bring a new profile to a team that is well covered in that area with Busquets, De Jong, Pedri, Gavi and Nico. According to Xavi, however, that versatile profile that will end up forming a great creative zone at Barça was missing.

Raised at Stella, from where he jumped to Atalanta, Kessié has developed his entire sports career in Italy. Three years after arriving at Milan, he made the leap to LaLiga and one of the biggest clubs in the world. Kessié wants to leave with one last joy. Return the Scudetto to the Rossoneri club.
