Kean: a return to PSG that depends on Mbappé

“What to do with Moise Kean?”asks the Italian newspaper Tuttosport. With 4 goals and 1 assist in the 26 games he has played so far this season, the Italian striker’s performance is far below both the expectations placed on his return and the needs of the Vecchia Signora. This same medium highlights that “His performance in terms of goals/minutes in the championship has plummeted: from 13 in 1,698′ to 3 in 693′, from one goal every 130′ to one every 231′”, compared to the goalscoring figures he reached at Paris Saint-Germain. After a disappointing stint at Everton, Moise Kean returned to what was his home to make up for the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and return to being that “luxury secondary” who scored 17 goals in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt . However, Juventus now have in Kean a problem rather than a solution.

The Italian striker arrived on loan for two seasons to the Turin team, whose loan would cost Massimiliano Allegri’s team 4M euros during this course and another 3M euros for the following. The problem is that, once the two-year loan period is over, Juventus have a mandatory purchase option of 28M euros, plus another 3M euros in variables. That is to say, more than 30M euros for a player whose contribution, both in figures facing goal and playing on the pitch –he has only been a starter in 9 of the 26 games played–, is far from seducing locals and strangers.

Nevertheless, if Moise Kean fails to channel his journey as a player White blackthe future of Kylian Mbappé could be closely linked to that of the Italian footballer, according to Tuttosport. The current Paris Sain-Germain player could play for Real Madrid from next season and, in addition to his first season at Juventus, the Parisian team has been the only one in which Moise Kean has been able to offer the best version of him. Hence, from Italy they affirm that the player Juventus may have the doors of PSG open in the future.

Too much competition for Kean

In addition, the situation of the former Everton and Paris Saint-Germain player in Turin would have been further complicated by the signing of Dusan Vlahovic. The important bet of the bianconeri in the Serbian striker, for which they have paid Fiorentina 70M euros, has been translated from the first day into gallons on the pitch. Since his debut with a goal against Hellas Verona, Vlahovic has started four consecutive games, playing 90 minutes in all games except the last one against Torino. This also translates into the fact that, with another striker like Álvaro Morata fighting for a position at the top of the attack, Moise Kean has played a total of 32 minutes in 3 of the last 4 Juventus matches mentioned above.
