Kazakhstan enters the MotoGP calendar in 2023

MADRID, 27 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Kazakhstan will be part of the motorcycling championship calendar from 2023, in a new agreement where the paddock will visit the Sokol International Racetrack for the next five seasons, as confirmed by MotoGP on Tuesday.

Located on the outskirts of Almaty – the largest city in Kazakhstan – Sokol is a brand new automobile complex built in the heart of Central Asia. The region will be a new ‘pit stop’ for MotoGP as the sport continues to expand around the world, encompassing new markets and fan bases.

In this way, Kazakhstan will become the 30th country to host a motorcycle Grand Prix since 1949, while the Sokol International Racetrack will be the 74th venue to host a premier class Grand Prix.
